Upgrade your toolbar

Below a quick FAQ on how and why to upgrade your toolbar.

Why should I upgrade?

From time to time the software version of the toolbar will be updated to fix bugs, update new features and improve the software’s performance (e.g. browser compatibility ,etc.).

To find the version of your toolbar:

Click the “about” link available under your toolbar logo button (the facing-down arrow to the left of search box). The software version can be found in the “about” menu of the toolbar and there is a different version number for Internet Explorer, FireFox and Safari. It will look something like 4.5.192.5 (example). The latest version will be updated from time to time in our Blog so you can see if you have the latest one.

What does “updating” mean?

Whenever a new version is available, updates will be offered remotely (automatically) to all installed toolbars so there is no need to uninstall the toolbar from the browser in order to get the latest update. However, due to server loads it may take a few weeks for all toolbars to update to the latest version. Users that want to make sure they have the most recent version can update it manually.

If you’d like to manually update your toolbar version:

1. visit your download page of your toolbar by clicking the sport below.
2. click the download/install button and follow the steps.

There is no need to uninstall the toolbar – clicking the install button while the toolbar is already in your browser automatically updates it to the latest version.

Please note that new installs (by new users) automatically get the latest version of the toolbar.
