Patrick receives IOC Trophy 2011

Every year since 1985, the IOC has launched an IOC trophy with a different theme, according to current trends. This trophy is made available to each NOC, which has the responsibility of identifying and selecting its recipient in its country.
The promoting of social development programmes is one of the IOC's objectives for 2011, with which it hopes to associate the NOCs. For this reason the 2011 IOC trophy is entitled "Sport and Social Responsibility"
Malawi Olympic Committee nominated Patrick because he is associated with Youth Development and Sports in combination with his commitment towards the youth as a social responsibility. The Malawi NOC received a Trophy from the International Olympic Committee which will be presented to Patrick on 25th June, 2011 at Thyolo Community Ground in Malawi during a session of the Malawi Olympic Committee; Olympic Day Celebration.
Patrick is involved in Malawi soccer and as vice president + head of technical committee Malawi Korfball Association
The IKF President, Dr. Jan Fransoo gave his compliments to Patrick: "On behalf of the Council of the International Korfball Federation, I extend our warmest congratulations upon your receiving the IOC Trophy 2011. This is very well deserved, and recognizes your achievements in football and korfball. The Malawi Korfball Federation is very fortunate to have such an active sports developer engaged in its activities".
