This second course was part of the development plan of the Korfball Federation of Zambia (KFZ) under the inspiring leadership of Mr. Kaluba Kangwa.

Twenty-eight athletes participated in the course which was held over two full days in the imposing National Olympic Youth Sport Centre, a centre designed for international sport events.

On two other days, the instructors introduced korfball into two communities of Lusaka. Over 200 children learned the first principles of korfball which were to score and to defend and stop your opponent from scoring. Most importantly, they enjoyed korfball and playing together in this new game for them.

The teachers of the schools in these communities were very enthusiastic and suggested to follow up the courses by starting a competition for several age groups between their communities.
